The Donnybrook Balingup Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce that our Shop Local voucher program has reached an incredible milestone: $40,000 worth of voucher sales since its inception in December 2020! This achievement is a testament to the unwavering support and enthusiasm of our community, who have embraced the program and made it a resounding success.
New Voucher Options Available
In response to the growing demand and to provide even more flexibility for our supporters, we are excited to introduce $10 vouchers. These are now available for purchase from the Chamber office in $100 minimum orders. You can still purchase $20, $30, and $50 vouchers from both the Chamber office and Donnybrook Pharmacy.
To place an order, simply email us. We can then invoice you for payment and your vouchers will be ready for collection in no time!
Supporting Our Community
The Shop Local vouchers have been more than just a spending tool; they’ve become a symbol of appreciation and community spirit. Here are just a few of the many ways our vouchers have been used since the program started in December 2020:
- Thank You Gifts: Teachers, coaches, and even those who helped find lost pets have received these vouchers as tokens of gratitude. These gestures strengthen our sense of community and acknowledge the efforts of those who go above and beyond.
- Golf Club Prizes: Many prizes at the Donnybrook Golf Club’s sponsor events have been Shop Local vouchers. This promotes local spending as well as ensuring winners can choose a prize they want or need.
- School Awards: Students have been rewarded for their achievements with vouchers at end of the year assemblies, recognising the hard work and dedication of our young learners.
- Fire Relief: Families impacted by the fires of 2023 received vouchers to help them during challenging times. The vouchers provided immediate relief and support while preparing for the next steps.
- Community Gifts: Vouchers have been gifted to community members, ensuring they could find something they wanted or needed from our local businesses.
Join Our Growing Network
We are proud to have over 30 local businesses accepting these vouchers as active and engaged members of the Chamber of Commerce. These businesses range from cafes and restaurants to retail stores and service providers, offering a wide variety of choices for voucher recipients.
If you’re a business owner and would like to Join the Chamber to participate in the Shop Local program, now is a great time! Membership for the remainder of 2024 is only $80. Joining the Chamber allows you to be part of this successful program but, also provides numerous other benefits, including networking opportunities, business support, and increased visibility within the community.
In our commitment to inclusivity, we will soon open membership to community groups and individuals who support the Chamber’s objectives. This recent update to our constitution ensures that everyone can be part of our vibrant and supportive community where everyone’s contributions are valued and recognised.
