The Donnybrook-Balingup Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DBCCI) is a not-for-profit, membership driven association that advocates on behalf of members and helps connect and grow our local business community through networking events, relevant industry updates, opportunities, and member-only offers such as advertising discounts and our Shop Local Voucher campaign.

President
Iain Massey
Iain Massey is the owner of Upland Consulting and is known as “The Board Bloke” ®, for his work on governance and board effectiveness. He is an experienced company director and chairman. Iain is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ course in company directorship (GAICD), an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (AFAIM), and an advisor member of the peak body Family Business Australia.
Vice President
Barry Green
Barry first joined the DB Chamber in 2002 – 2007. Then resumed involvement in 2011 and has been Vice President since September 2016. Barry has owned Boronia Farm since 1988 and Western Tourist Radio (WTR) since 2001. Barry is also involved in Harvest Highway since 2003 when it was a government funded Incorporated body. When Harvest Highway Inc was wound up, WTR acquired the business name and web address harvesthighway.com.au . Barry is also Chair of DB Community Radio Inc, which is providing a voice for the local community.
Treasurer
Leanne Wringe
Leanne joined in 2017 as Treasurer and member of the DBCCI through her family business of MJ Wringe and Son. Her accounting and business background along with her community commitment to the promotion of the business region along with growing networks within the community.
Leanne was a key member of the committee through the rapid changes through covid and created some great initiatives for local business growth and resilience.

Sue Martin
Sue Martin is the current Manager at the Donnybrook Community Resource Centre, coordinating the day-to-day operations. Sue possesses extensive Office Administration experience gained whilst working at two Katanning based businesses as well as interstate businesses. Sue has a strong community spirit for buy and shop local to help all of our community.

Madeline Clifford
Madeline Clifford, is the owner of DB Tanning and Beauty, bringing her passion for local entrepreneurship and women’s empowerment to her role as a committee member of the Donnybrook Balingup Chamber of Commerce.
Madeline joined the committee after searching for a local business community and brings a fresh outlook and positive young energy. You may even hear her on the local Donnybrook Balingup Community Radio talking about local challenges and personalities.

Sharon Burke is one of the creative minds Balingup Fruit Winery, a beloved gem nestled in our community. As both the owner of this cherished establishment and a dedicated committee member of the Donnybrook Balingup Chamber of Commerce, Sharon is a true advocate for local prosperity and tourist adventures. Her passion for crafting exceptional fruit wines mirrors her commitment to fostering economic growth and community engagement. Sharon is also the President of the Balingup and Districts Tourist Association.

Derek Doak is the passionate owner and operator of The Fine Timber Company. With decades of experience in the timber industry, Derek is dedicated to crafting premium products from locally sourced, sustainably harvested timber. Specialising in custom pieces and fine furniture, his work reflects a commitment to quality, artistry, and environmental stewardship. Derek’s deep knowledge of timber and design is matched by his focus on supporting the local community and promoting the region’s rich timber heritage. Through his craftsmanship, Derek showcases the natural beauty and enduring value of Western Australia’s fine timbers.

Shane Purnell has joined the committee, bringing fresh energy and a passion for connecting and contributing to the local community. As the founder of Drone Farm Solutions, a new business specialising in agriculture drone services. Shane is committed to supporting regional growth through innovative technology. His business offers cutting-edge aerial solutions for agriculture including fertiliser such as spraying, spreading and soon mapping, helping locals access modern tools to enhance their operations. By joining the DBCCI, Shane aims to foster collaboration, share ideas, and play an active role in strengthening the local business network and community spirit.

Anita Lindemann
Anita Lindemann has joined the committee, bringing her wealth of experience as a former business owner and current Shire Councillor. Passionate about supporting the local business community, Anita aims to share innovative ideas and practical options to help businesses navigate challenging times. Her unique perspective, combining entrepreneurial insight and community leadership, makes her a valuable addition to the committee. Anita is dedicated to fostering collaboration and contributing to initiatives that drive economic growth and community betterment.

Rachel Atkinson is the owner of EcoAngle Web Design and the Executive Officer of the Donnybrook Balingup Chamber of Commerce since May 2022. As the owner of EcoAngle, Rachel brings a unique blend of creativity and technical expertise to help local businesses establish a strong online presence. In her role as Executive Officer of the Chamber of Commerce, Rachel is committed to driving positive forward-thinking initiatives that support the growth and vitality of our community.
