The Donnybrook-Balingup Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DBCCI) is a not-for-profit, membership driven association that advocates on behalf of members and helps connect and grow our local business community through networking events, relevant industry updates, opportunities, and member-only offers such as advertising discounts and our Shop Local Voucher campaign.

President
Iain Massey
Iain Massey is the owner of Upland Consulting and is known as “The Board Bloke” ®, for his work on governance and board effectiveness. He is an experienced company director and chairman.
Iain is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ course in company directorship (GAICD), an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (AFAIM), and an advisor member of the peak body Family Business Australia.
Vice President
Jay Pyrchla
Jay Pyrchla is passionate about community involvement and making a positive contribution to the Balingup region.
Alongside joining DBCCI as Vice-President, Jay volunteers with the Balingup Visitor Centre and is the organiser of the newly established Balingup Landcare group. Through these roles, Jay supports local tourism, environmental care and community connections, bringing a strong community-minded perspective to DBCCI and its work supporting local businesses.
Treasurer
Lachlan Burgess
Lachlan Burgess is the Treasurer of the DBCCI and an Accountant with AMD Chartered Accountants, supporting clients with their financial and compliance needs.
Holding a Bachelor of Commerce from Edith Cowan University, Lachlan has a strong foundation in accounting and a passion for financial management. He brings both technical expertise and a commitment to delivering value to the organisations and clients he works with.
Secretary
The position of secretary is currently unfilled as at the 2026 Annual General Meeting.

Sue Martin
Sue Martin is the current Manager at the Donnybrook Community Resource Centre, coordinating the day-to-day operations. Sue possesses extensive Office Administration experience gained whilst working at two Katanning based businesses as well as interstate businesses. Sue has a strong community spirit for buy and shop local to help all of our community.

Derek Doak
Derek Doak is the passionate owner and operator of The Fine Timber Company. With decades of experience in the timber industry, Derek is dedicated to sourcing and supplying premium products from locally sourced, sustainably harvested timber.
Derek is passionate about the agroforestry industries for diversity and the value of Western Australia’s fine timbers and sourcing imported timbers.
Committee Member
Erwin Gerritsen
Erwin Geritsen is a familiar face in the local tourism and hospitality scene and a committee member of the DBCCI. As the owner of Blackwood Valley Suites in Mullalyup, Erwin has a great understanding of what visitors are looking for when they come to our region.
He enjoys being part of the local business community and brings his experience, ideas and enthusiasm.
Through his involvement with DBCCI, Erwin is keen to support local businesses, encourage visitors to explore the region and help build a strong and connected business community.

Leanne Wringe
Leanne joined in 2017 as Treasurer and member of the DBCCI through her family business of MJ Wringe and Son.
Her accounting and business background along with her community commitment to the promotion of the business region along with growing networks within the community.
Leanne is also a shire councillor to act as a communicator between DBCCI and the shire.
Executive Officer
Rachel Atkinson
Rachel Atkinson is the owner of EcoAngle Web Design and the Executive Officer of the Donnybrook Balingup Chamber of Commerce since May 2022.
As the owner of EcoAngle Web Design, Rachel brings a unique blend of creativity and technical expertise to help local businesses establish a strong online presence.
In her role as Executive Officer of DBCCI, Rachel is committed to driving positive forward-thinking initiatives that support the growth and vitality of our community.
Rachel is also the Editor for the local paper the Preston Press.
