The Donnybrook Balingup Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc (DBCCI) is proud to announce Troy Durbin from Enlightened Mechanical as the winner of the Round 6 Customer Service Awards.
The overwhelming theme across Troy’s nominations was simple – he goes above and beyond for his customers.
One nominator recalled breaking down on a Sunday, when Troy immediately put aside what he was doing to get them safely back on the road. He not only repaired the immediate problem but also provided practical advice to keep them travelling until replacement parts could be fitted. They described him as “a beautiful warm-hearted soul” with an unwavering willingness to help others.
Another customer shared how Troy’s honesty stood out from the beginning. After being told their vehicle simply needed an air-conditioning re-gas, Troy identified the real issue, charged nothing for his inspection and worked around their family’s schedule to complete the repairs. They also praised the informative videos Troy and his wife, Julie, produce to explain mechanical work and build trust with customers, while recognising Julie’s vital role behind the scenes in helping the business succeed.
Other nominations spoke of Troy’s exceptional workmanship, meticulous attention to detail, fair pricing and integrity. Customers said they have complete confidence in his advice and value having a mechanic they can genuinely trust.
The Donnybrook Balingup Chamber of Commerce also congratulates the other businesses nominated in Round 6: Penny Lane Sweet Shoppe in Balingup, Tianna Lee Organic Hair and Donnybrook Hardware and Garden. Every nomination reflects the outstanding service provided by businesses across our region.
The Customer Service Awards are proudly supported by Community Bank of Donnybrook, with each winner receiving $100 in Shop Local Vouchers.
The awards will be on hold until 2027. In the meantime, DBCCI encourages everyone to continue recognising exceptional service. Whether it’s a mechanic, retailer, café or service provider, taking the time to thank someone for going the extra mile helps strengthen the businesses that make our community such a great place to live, work and visit.
